What is Natural Wax?

Natural Wax is a term often used to describe plant-based waxes. Typically made using one or more of the following oils:

 

Natural waxes are an alternative to paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum as a by-product of making gasoline. It is known for having a great fragrance throw and used by many reputable candle companies.

Paraffin wax could however, produce numerous toxic carcinogens and can emit dangerous vapours into the air. With more people researching on where their products come from, this led to a boom in people wanting natural products.

Here at The Perfected Scent we use both 100% soy wax and a blend of luxurious coconut and soy wax in our products.

A Longer Burn

As natural waxes have a lower melting point, this allows them to last longer. which means, you get a lot more out of our products. In return, you'll get more bang for your buck and that scent that you love so much, yeah, it'll last much longer!

Biodegradable

Many of us want to do our part in protecting the environment. With natural waxes being biodegradable, we can get a perfectly scented room and save the earth (yaay!). 

Soy and/or coconut wax, derived from natural sources and contains nothing artificial making them a better alternative than paraffin wax.

Less Soot

A clean burn is what we all look for in a candle right? Some of you may be wondering, what is a clean burn? You know when the top of your candle jar gets that horrible black smoke around the rim? This is common, but natural waxes (and a properly wicked candle) reduces this significantly.

Why we chose them?

After countless months, days, minutes, seconds (you see where this is going...). We have decided that soy wax has our heart for our wax melts and for our candles. We loved soy wax so much we wanted to blend it with another natural wax! The luxurious coconut and soy wax was the winner and has not disappointed.
